Prescription Product Manager (Dermatology)

Synopsis

Our client who specialises in skin care products is looking for an experienced Prescription Product Manager


Minimum Requirements

Post Graduate Para-Medical qualification with at least 6 years Marketing experience plus qualification in
Marketing.
Must be able to develop & execute a marketing plan for existing & new products with proven track record
of a minimum pf 2 x product launches essential.
Proven track record of maintaining strong market shares for older products.
Must be a resident in Johannesburg.
Must have strong commercial and people management skills with proven track record of planning and
controlling promotional expense spends within budget limits for the assigned products.
Valid code 8 driver’s license and own transport essential.

Must be outgoing, vibrant, ethical and have an energetic personality.
Must have Excellent communication skills.
Maturity in dealing with confidential/sensitive issues.
Ability to work under pressure, take initiative and work independently when required.
Enthusiastic and dedicated to service excellence.
Advanced computer literacy – MS Office, Outlook & Internet and professional presentation skills required
with the ability to analyse sales data, market environment and competitor activity.


Role Description

Market research, design, sales projections, budgets and product launches.
Implementing and coordinating a national promotional campaign for the assigned product portfolio in
conjunction with local Management, based on Global Marketing guidelines.
All product training (including preparation of training material on the respective disease, product and
competitors) related to relevant products for new employees and quarterly training with field sales team.
Working in field with sales team to ensure consistency in approach.
Developing relationships with KOL’s and with Sales Team which includes planning of all advertising and
promotional activities & material, liaising with IHS, Dischem & Clicks regarding pricing and promotional
campaigns, calling on Key Opinion leaders, implementing and co-coordinating national promotional
campaigns for the entire Prescription product portfolio.
Develop profitable and sustainable strategies and relationships with clients.
Strong relationships with agencies and other promotional companies as well as sales teams with proven
ability to implement and co-ordinate marketing activities.
Portray and maintain the professional ethical image of the client in field, and within the company in
accordance with the Code of Ethics and Conduct.
From time to time it may be necessary to work after hours and on weekends to attend/arrange meetings,
CME’s, pre-cycle meetings and congresses/conferences.
Adherence to all the relevant company Policies and Procedures as provided.

Salary: Up to R1mil per annum - dependant on experience
